I am setting up

A small network at home. I had a Win98 peer to peer before but now I want to set up a small Lan. I already set up a Win2k pro work station. What would be better a linux server or a Win2k server? And how hard would the security setup be for both? I have Win98 se and linux redhat 7.1 with server, I need to be able to access the internet and other work stations from the server. And need great security too. But I can not spend alot of money!
