I/O Subsystem Driver Failed

I’m running Windows 95 on a Compaq Laptop and every time I try and start my computer it give me the following error:
“While initializing the device IOS:
Error: An I/O subsystem driver failed to load.
Either a file in the .\iosubsys subdirectory is corrupt, or the system is low on memory.”

I already checked the mem and it’s fine, so how to I get this fixed?
