This is my problem. I am trying to determine if the MWave card in this IBM aptiva 2159 running W95 is good. When my customer tries to dial out she gets this error message”The modem is not installed or configured for dial up networking. To checkyour modem configuration, double click the modem icon in control panel. Heres what I have done to troubleshoot. In device manager under modems it is listed, when I click on properties it does not open the properties box and I cant view the resourcesto track down a conflict, it also will not let me remove the modem. When I click to remove it, and go back to check, it is still present. From control panel when I double click on modems it also will not open a window for me. From Windows help,in troubleshooting when I click to display modem properties it also does not open nor does install new modem wizard work.
I have run a anti virus scan as well. The computer is showing just com2 and no others. I have tried to use the IBM diagnostic utilities to no avail. Anyone with ideas!!
