IE ver5 and NT Server

I seem to be always having problems using Internet Explorer 5 on NT Server. Sometimes it will work and other times no access. I now have an error iexplorer.exe when I close IE5, click on OK to terminate application. I restart IE5 and I cannot access any pages on the internet, close it down and the error is not there. Now I cannot access www. through IE5 at all.
