I have a user that has a dell optiplex GX1. The OS that she has is Win 95 and the app is Office 2000.She was trying to make changes to her excel file and the saves where not being accepted. The file origonally was on the server when the problem occured. I had her move the file to her PC and the problem got worse, when she wanted to print the file she would get a “This program has performed an illegal operation” she would click close and excel would close down. Even when she wanted access Outlook 2000 she got the Illegal operation error but her PC froze. I restarted the PC ran scandisk and disk defrag and so far the PC is running like it should to include being able to print the file that giving her problems. I’m not trying to show off but I would appreciate any sort of feedback to why this happened and if what I did was the correct way to fix such a problem. Thanks for the assistance.
