in car/truck Linux based Tablet PC’s

I am researching for the development of an In Cab (car, truck or van) application.

The Application is Java based and i do not require the over head of windows (xp or ce) in terms of cost or performance.

Has anyone any recommendations or experience in the selection or usage of such tablet PC’s?
