Inability to Display Websites with AOL.

Several PCs have had problems displaying websites after installing AOL 6.0! reinstalling Wsock32.dll and uninstalling AOl and IE then reinstalling both haven’t resolved. Full reinstallation of Win 98 has been resolution. Too drastic! Any ideas on how to resolve without clean reinstall? AOL Support hasn’t been of any help!
