INACCESSIBLE FLOPPY

Good morning & Happy Labor Day Weekend.
Two weeks ago i practiced on a network installation which went well.i do recall i installed a cd-rom drive.this morning i was booting from my floppy drive for school project but my floppy is inaccessible.told setup to boot from floppy 1st,it does not see my floppy & moves to hdd & boots.i redid
my cables,changed to 2nd one but in both cases it does not see my floppy.when i access it after os loads A drive is inaccessible—any thoughts will be app –thanx-aziz
