Using fdisk I partitioned my 24gig hard drive into three partions, one FAT, one FAT32 and one NTFS. I formatted the FAT (C:) partition, made it active and installed WIN98SE. I then attempted to install NT4.0 on the C: partition. I used the three installation disks and the CD. When I inserted the CD I received a window that showed my drives. It showed the FAT and The NTFS as it should but each showed that the disks were either not formatted or corrupted. Supposedly NT could fix this but when I tried that it said NT could not perform the operation and to exit from setup.
I even tried redoing the whole operation and just installing NT4.0 with exactly the same results. Any ideas? Because of security and networking considerations, I need NT.
