installing w95 on compressed hdd

by casemaker . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

Hi,
I have an IBM Personal Computer 350 that the client wanted W95 reinstalled. They had already formatted the HDD before I brought it in. They said that they could not get it to reload. When I tried to fdisk and format it appeared that there was apartition that was not removed. I used Microscope and formatted the drive again. It looks like the only partition is the C: drive and it is formatted Fat32. When I try and install W95 I get this error message “setup found a compressed volume or a disk cache utility on your computer” and when I continue setup begins and when it looks at the disk it tells me there is not enough room to install.
Can you tell me how to get this compressed area off the drive or another way around this?
Thanks
