This is a weird one, but I’m stuck. When I first start up my computer, the first two or three times I use IE it suddenly shuts off. Just disappears. I open it again, and in a minute or so it disappears again. It does this a few times, then doesn’t seem to do it again all day. It gets worse… I was just looking through our proxy logs, and saw that I am listed several times as visiting www.vpcit.ru, several variants of that, and some other .ru sites. When I type them in, they are all in Russian, and I’ve never seen them before. A search for “vpcit.ru” turned up a listing for Russian Dating services, or something like that. I’m guessing this is related to the disappearing Explorer, somehow. Any idea what might be doing this, or how, or why? I can’t find anything in the “run” sections of the registry that looks out of place. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I’m starting to get a little freaked out! 🙂
