invald instruction

What it mean when I recevice a message saying.
Setup executed an invalid instruction in module setup.exe at 0167:0040fa8f.

I was loading Verizon DSL Software on a computer. And when someone pull the plug out for the computer. when booted up the computer and tryed to finish installing the software I recvieed the message above. How can I fix this problem.
