invalid page fault at <module>mode

When I connect to the Internet using an isp (aol, juno, netzero), I’m connected for a couple of seconds, then I get an “(waol) has caused an invalid page fault in modem.cct” or sometimes “ unknown”. I’ve reinstalled the OS and modemseveral times to no avail. Any suggestions?
