Invalid System Disk

this system is a pent. 166mhz with 32 mb ram running win.95 during boot-up i get this error message:”Invalid System Disk replace disk and hit any key.” There is no diskette in the floppy drive at this time. Do you know what would cause this problem? Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks.
