I added a zip drive my computer and it installed just fine. It comes up as removeable D:\ drive which is fine. I can put disks in and read them just fine but when I try to copy anything everything locks up and I have to pull the plug. It wont shut down and I cant click on anything. I have tried several brand new zip drives and get the same thing. I build computers for a living so I have access to all new parts. I swapped out everything from video card to motherboard and it still locks up during a copy from hardrive to zip or vice versa. I have set it up as slave of cdrom and master of cdrom. I have also made it slave of the hardrive. I have switched data cables on everything. I have formatted and reinstalled windows 98 and still the same exact problem occures. Even using 3 different brand new zip disks. If anyone can has any idea whats going on please let me know. I have tried a microstar board, ati video card, new memory, everything I can think of. Please help.
