Is it the video card?

by jtmohio415 . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

I am not sure where to get started. It seem like the computer doesn’t have enough cooling system? My problem started out when I tried to add more memory to my computer. I have the PowerSpec 7120, and since then, it has not been the same again. I have a Pentium III 450mhz, originally with 64 megs of ram, now it has 256. Had added cd burner and a 2nd hard drive. The problem is that if I used my computer for an extended period of time, it will come to a point where it crashes. I can only reboot itafter cooling it off for a few hours. I thought it is the video card, because I hear it clicking when everytime I try to reboot it right after it crashes, and the screen remains blank.

Another question, I only have one available PCI slot, am I limited to the type of video card I should get?

Thanks for any help.

Julie
