Is Microsoft screwing your Office 2000?

Comments: I have a feeling that Microsoft can be behind Office files
corruption. They are the only ones who with that “windows update”
system, that for example I naively accept, well, they can mismash our
softwares subtilely. How can I know?
It is curious, because in earlier versions of Power Point I never hear
complains of nobody – and I have a lot of friends who
used and use their early programms.
How can I defend myself if, eventually , the proper manufacturer
is doing “market sabotage” to make me buy new programs to replace my
older ones?
Is there a way to protect ourselves?
