Is my partition recoverable?

Hi folks,
I recently ran a Norton Antivirus scan on my laptop and a prompt came up that my “master boot record had changed since last innoculation”…I selected the repair option.

Since doing so my D: partion on the hard drive is not present in explorer. When I boot with a Win98 floppy and run fdisk to examine the partitions I see the primary partition C: and a second unnamed extended partition which does not indicate any file system but does show 48% used.

I would rather keep the information on my former D: drive if possible, is it recoverable?
