I currently have two dial-up providers for internet access. The problem is when trying to connect to certain DNS (domain name servers) I get two different results. Using the tracert command on the DOS prompt one ISP will find the DNS all the time for the page I’m trying to find. The other will intermittently find it. What would be causing this..? A router problem from the ISP’s end or from the DNS’s end…?? A glitch in the routing of my request…? When I checked with the problem ISP they could not recreate the problem and said they would look into it further. My main reason for wanting to use their service is there are no timeouts which seems to be normal (8hrs 0r less) for others. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated.
