KT7A Raid Motherboard – 3.5″ floppy

I have just installed a KT7A Raid MB w/1gb TB processor. Brand new, tested, 1.44 3.5″ floppy. Will not boot from floppy even though the boot sequence is set correctly in the CMOS. Any time I try to access the 3.5 it states that the disk is not formated or not installed. All disks tried work fine in other machine. I have switched cables, drives, CMOS settings, NOTHING! Also the system will not power down using windows shut down. Tried all CMOS interfaces with APM, NOTHING! Don’t know if it’s a bad MB or if the problems are somehow related.
