LAPTOP DOESN’T SEE FLOPPY DRIVE

We have a Dell CPI P500 laptop with a peculiar problem.

When UNdocked, its A drive functions normally.

When DOCKED, it sees the A drive but when it tried to use it, the system freezes.

We’ve tried different docking stations, a new system board has been installed, and the BIOS has been updated. We’re stumped!
