Lines/shadows on Screen

I have just installed more RAM and WIN2K on a PC and shadowy lines are running across the screen. I’m afraid the video card was damaged. I’m hoping there is an easier fix. The system has a NVIDIA TNT2 Vanta 3D card. Tried downloading new driver with no luck. Any suggestions?
