Local printer setup prints to network pr

A user’s WINNT Workstation has an obscure problem. She called and said her parallel port was not working. The easiest test I know of is to connect a printer locally. I did so using a HP Laserjet 5L with WINNT drivers. After setting it up I printeda test page but the test page went to her default network printer stating that it was a test page for a HP 5L. Huh? So I deleted all the printers, rebooted and resetup the 5L. The test page still went to the network printer. I’m sure it has something to do with the parallel port and network addresses, but what? Thanks.
