M$ Passport

by jim . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

Just thought I’d throw this out there and see what everybody thought about this angle on M$ passport. M$ claims that they will keep all of the info they collect (ie. credit card numbers, personal info, cats favorite brand of food ect…) confidential and secure. It stands to reason that they will be storing this info on m$ servers running IIS along with other m$ products. Do you think that this is as sucure as M$ makes it out to be? The Gartner Group has recomended that everyone using IIS for web services should move to a more secure platform due to the continuing security problems. I personally am of the opinion that I would rather give my credit card to a stranger on the street than let “Our Buddy Bill” have access to the info that Passport is to collect, but I would like to here other thoughts on the subject.
