Macintosh client is blind

Macintosh client can not “see” any shared files on a Windows NT 4.0 files server with NTFS. Microsoft UAM volume is the only folder visible to the Macintosh client. Services for Macintosh have been installed on the NT server and the Microsoft UAM has been moved into the Macintosh client machine’s system folder. Login authentication seems to be working properly and the client is able to print to all network printers. Does anyone know why the Macinotsh client can NOT “see” any of the shared folders on the NT file server???
