Massive Layoffs!

I’ve hearding about all the Technology updates since I’ve been reading the discussions on this website. But I’ve not heard anyone talk about the massive layoffs that companies are doing and the recession that we are going through right now, as a “Nation”. I’m I just dreaming about this topic or does anyone has some type of opinion on this matter?
