micrsoft date/time picker active X cntrl

there was an article another day about using this control instead of the standard date/time control – I can get the standard calendar to work but I can not get the date/time picker to work – I try to debug it by setting break points at variuos events and none of the events seem to fire – can some give me step by step instructions on how to use the date/time picker control to populate an unbound field on an access form ?
