Missing Autoexec.bat and Config.sys

I recently reformatted a older Gateway 120, reinstalled Win95. And to load the drivers for the 4x cd-rom I need to add lines in the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys. Problem is they are to be found any where. I received this system and reformated, restalled Win95 and everyhing was dandy. Then a coworker upgraded to Win98, and that is where everthing went screwy. Since then Win95 is load and working along with all the drivers except the cd-rom.

Any Help?
