Modem reboots computer

I have a Zoom HCF PCI 56K Faxmodem, and whenever I connect to the internet when something is prying at it (like AOL IM, MSN IM, A web site, etc…) the computer will just reboot and start up again. Any Ideas on how to fix this?????
