Monitor machines remotely …

I just started working for a company that produces entertainment kiosks. These units are basically made up of a PC with Win2k OS. I need to be able to tell if these machines are locked up or even running at all; I need to be able to reboot; and I need to be able to transfer updated files to these units. I frankly don’t even know where to start. Any help would be apprediated. Thank you.
