My CDROM won’t produce sound

After I Installed my pc with win98, I have a simple problem that bothering me for sometime.I wanna play my audio cd into my cd rom but i couldn’t hear the sound.

The question I want to post are :
1. Is there any setting that I missed ?
2. Should I install the cdrom driver to play audio cd ?
