Network Adapter

I’m having problems setting my Windows 2k computer to Hibernate or Standby. It says ‘The device driver for the Intel PRO/100+ Management Adapter’ device is preventing the maching from entering hibernation. Please close all applications and try again. I did try that, also updated the drivers to the latest available, closing all running programs with the task manager and anything seems to work. How can I resolve this issue. Thanks!!
