Network card setup

I’ve run into this problem once before a while back but forget the solution. I have a home user that I am setting up to use their cable modem to access the corporate network. I upgraded their laptop to Windows ME from 98. When I try to connect tothe internet via their cable modem, I get the page that says the site can’t be found. When I do “ipconfig” from the command prompt, I am not getting any of the correct settings for his provider. I checked the settings in Network under Control Panel and everything seems fine.

Can anyone tell me what I may be missing here?
