Network to USB DSL modem

Pacific Bell in their infinate wisdom sold me a Efficeint Networks Speedstream DSL modem which only has USB port for input.
The problem is that I want to network my two home computers and use 1 DSL connection/account but am unable to find a DSL router that can hook up to the modem. Pac Bell offers one for $350+ but that seems extremely high since a cable/DSL router can be had for under $100.
An alternate is Direct Tv service. They offer a “Gateway” for a small shipping charge which can accept 2 computers, but the person I talked to was unable to tell me if it also networked my computers together for file transfer etc.
Does anyone know how to hook into the existing USB modem, or have details regarding Direct Tv service?
