New harddrive not fully recognized

I recently upgraded my harddrive from a 4g to a 10g. When my computer boots the boot sequence recognizes the new drive as being 10g but when I get into Windows it says I only have a 2g drive. I have already converted the drive to fat 32. The motherboard is a P-233 MMX. It has an American Megatrends BIOS, I’m not sure who the manufacturer is.
