no 815 cs sound

I’ve installed an Azza m/b with intel815 chipset. All the m/b resources have been installed in win98, but the onboard sound will not work. The multimedia devices are: MPU 400 compatible & Digimax integrated digital audio. Both show no conflicts and have working resources.

In the multimedia section of control panel, there is no playback device to select.

Any pointers?
