No Gui only c prompt in Wins ME

Hello All! I recently upgraded Wins Me and i am having the following problem;
I shutdown my pc on Friday with a normal shutdown. When booted my pc on Monday i started to see the normal screens then saw wins 98 and gave me a c prompt! That’s it. It is not taking me to the Gui interface. It allows me to go to safe mode menu, but when i choose option 3 it goes to the c prompt. I tried to reinstall but nothing. It takes me to the c prompt. I am able to see that the directories are there, butno GUI. Help please,,,,,
