Help!
I have Windows 98 installed on my pc.
All of a sudden I cannot record via mic. Just get a “Shushing” sound on playback.
Also Playback on macromedia site (flash tutorials) plays but voice really really slow. Now have discovered my cd player won’t playing at all via Microsoft CD Player or Yamaha station 32 (did previously).
Have tried to play cd’s via Windows Media Player version 7, but experiencing same problems as with Macromedia playback – extremely slow!
I did installthe latest version of Quicktime and then uninstalled it. Don’t know whether this has had anything to do with the problem, as I hadn’t “recorded” or “played” a cd since doing this.
Have checked “Devices” under Multimedia Properties, but all Drivers seem to be enabled. So I’m at a total loss as to what to do/check next.
Any advice would be most appreciated before I got totally insane!
