Notebook comparisons

I am getting ready to purchase notebooks again this year and need help deciding what brand to go with that will be optimized to work on a network when needed. I am looking at Micron, Dell, IBM and HP. I have had extremly bad luck with Micron in the past. Any suggestions on why you go with what brand other than you are a contracted reseller?
