NT Boot Disks will not do LDS

Two years ago I purchased VB student edition for college and it came with a version of NT4 and install disks. I have recently aquired another computer and have decided to put NT on that system. The drive is 5GB in size basically good for what i need it to do and the bios supports the drive as is without DM software but NT will only allow me 2GB partitions. At work we have NT4 and it is installed on a 16GB drive using the entire drive. How do i make NT utilize the entire drive as one partition?? (preferrably without DMSoftware)
