NT hardware profiles

after changing the hardware configuration on a laptop from “original” to a new one without network suport, the laptop constantly gets the dreaded blue screen with every shutdown. however, if you choose the “orginal configuration mode”,which does have network support at boot up, instead of the new one that I’ve named “No Network Support”, it does not cause the crash. has anyone encountered this error and if, “yes”, how did you go around it. the error from the blue screen defintely points to ahardware driver problem
“KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED”.
