NT4.0 RAS in TAPI mode and WINFAX PRO

How do I set / configure a RAS modem (Actiontec V.90 PCI) to run in TAPI mode instead of “com port” mode? Winfax pro 9.0 requires TAPI and kills the Ras service if the modem is configured for com port mode.
Do I need a different driver other unimodem.inf?
