I have 5 computers connected via e-net hub to internet…two macs, 3 Windows machines. All was fine until two days ago…machine running Windows NT stopped being able to connect vie IE, Morpheus, etc. I do NOT get email on this machine, so I don’t think it’s a virus and NAV is up to date (except as of two days ago). Other machines on the network connect to net and get email with no problem. They can also connect to the NT machine–i.e., I can share files, etc. with the machine which won?t connect to the ?net.
I’ve checked the e-net cable…it’s plugged in to computer and e-net hub. Idiot light on hub indicates it?s connected…and, on back of Windows NT machine there’s flickering green light next to where e-net cable goes in, which I associate with packet traffic (maybe it’s just from the other machines).
Anyway, I can’t connect and am stumped. Somewhat new to Windows, having used Macs for years. My laptop running XP connects fine, as does another, older PC running NT.
Any help greatly, greatly appreciated.
