When I try to open a Word document by double-clicking on it whether it is in “My documents” folder or on the desktop I receive an error that states the following:
“Cannot open or find file or invalid path…
C:\Winnt\Profiles\fboyce\Desktop\My Briefcase\my Documents\Word\Tire”
I thought it had something to do with the target of the file, then the path of the actul application,on the Microsoft KB it said Unclicking “Hide MS-Dos file extentions for known file types” would help(it didn’t)or workaround by opening the application first then the file.The file opens but this is time and resource consuming when I have a lot of open programs for research.
But the error also comes up when I try to open excel sheets too.
Help is wanted and appreciated.
