OS Thinks Sound Card is where it isn’t

by sjgraich . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

After reinstalling Win95(ver B), I then added my sound card and then my drivers. The drivers fail to install correctly and I get a message that tells me that my sound card may not work correctly because it’s not in the primary PCI slot. Wouldn’t that be the PCI slot called “1”? (It is where I had the sound card previosly & it was working fine prior to reinstalling my O/S.) I’m confused. I also had IRQ conflicts which I did set manually, but that did not fix things. I still get the message that my sound card is not in the primary PCI slot, and rather obviously, I don’t have any sound. Thanks in advance to all respondants. sg
