Outlook 2000 Reminder

I have an installation of Office 2000 (complete – everything installed on the system). The Outlook 2000 is installed and set up for Corporate & E-mail. Everything works except the reminders do not pop up when due. It is configured in the Options on the preferences tab and the Others tab under Reminder Options within Advanced Options. The sound is valid with the correct path. I’ve tried a Detect and Repair as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. Any other suggestions?
