Outlook not auto-replying to outside

Hi,

I have set up a server-side auto reply rule in Outlook 2000 connecting to Exchange 5.5 SP4.

It is a very simple rule that sends a reply to every message that comes in the box.

The problem is that if the message is sent from another useron the Exchange server, the user gets the reply. If the message comes from an external address, there is no reply.

Any ideas?
