Overheating

My PC: Windows Me, PIII-500MHz, 384MB-RAM, Asus MB, ATI Rage AGP 4X Video + 4 fans.

When playing games like Flight Simulator or another heavy graphics software my CPU overheats. CPU fan is running at 6000RPM. I don’t know what is the problem. I suspect a slow CPU (500MHz?).
Any suggestions?
