Curious to discover whether anyone else has encountered the situation of Microsoft’s Outlook Web Access version 5.5 SP4 when used on any current version of Internet Explorer (with any version of Windows – XP/2000/ME/98) not displaying folders with an “Unable to render folders” message when being logged in on machines containing P2P software (especially nasty is the iMesh application). It is interesting that OWA will work with Netscape on the same machine. And it is not an OWA account or Exchange problem, since the account can be successfully accessed from another client (ie., one not running a P2P application). Our support group believes there are hooks in IE, or that possibly a dll is being hammered. Properly un-installing the offending P2P app (say iMesh) permits OWA access to function normally with IE.
