Palm Pilot IIIC problems

I have a user that has a laptop docked to our network. I just recently upgraded him to W2K Pro. He can sync up to his palm pilot with no problem until his machine goes into sleep mode. Once you wake it from sleep mode, he loses the ability to sync.
I checked various websites to see if there was an upgraded driver for the palm pilot but couldn’t find one.

Help please.
